As you know, Marianna Community Public Library places MEMORIAL BOOKS in our collection in memory of your loved ones, but did you also know that we can help you honor someone on their special day, whether it's a New Baby, Graduation, Wedding, Christmas, or any other occasion by placing a TRIBUTE BOOK in their honor in our library? Your gifts help us fill in some "holes" not only in our collection, but also our budget. Based on your suggestions, we will select a book that honors the occasion or in the case of a Memorial Book, a book that honors something that was important to the person who has passed, from their career or their home life. Examples of Tribute books include a parenting book in honor of a new mom; a collection of Mother Goose rhymes for a new baby; a beginners' cookbook for a new bride; or a classic novel for the scholar who has graduated. Regarding Memorial Books, we try to select hardcover editions of whatever topic you suggest; something you can be proud to have your name in. As you know, a Book Plate will be placed in the front with the person's name, whether it is a Tribute or Memorial and the donor(s)' name as you would like it printed, and we keep a permanent record of your tax-deductible gift and for whom it was purchased.
