Marianna Library is now a participating charity with the Washington County Community Foundation, which means you can NOW DONATE TO MARIANNA LIBRARY ONLINE ANYTIME.
However, the library will receive a portion of the Foundation’s match pool if you give SEPTEMBER 10TH, 2013. That’s why we’re asking you to mark your calendar now.
On Tuesday, September 10, 2013, all charitable donations made to Marianna Community Public Library through the Washington County Community Foundation will receive a portion of the Washington County Community Foundation's match pool (estimated to be at least $100,000). So, if you give during the hours of 8 AM to 8 PM, September 10, 2013, your gift will make an even greater impact in our community.
Whether you donate on September 10th, or any other day of the year, it's more simple than ever to make a difference! The entire process has been streamlined and all donation options are secure. Help the Marianna Library by marking your calendar for next year’s WCCF Gives on September 10th!

ARE YOU A 'FRIEND' OF THE MARIANNA LIBRARY? WE NEED YOU!
A Membership Drive for The Friends of Marianna Library is ongoing. The organization supports the library's mission by volunteering at various functions and by hosting
fund-raising events. Friends members also have the opportunity to connect with other library users and provide input on services and materials. Dues are $5 year.
Remember, it's FREE to get a library card (even if you lost your old one) and all our services and children's programs are FREE to registered patrons. You can't get a better deal than that!

What’s happening at the library in 2012:
Sarris Candy Bars are on sale at the circulation desk for $1. Benefits the Friends of the Library.
Coke Caps Collection: The library is collecting bottle caps and package codes from
Coca-Cola products in order to earn rewards for free magazine subscriptions. Caps may be dropped off during normal business hours.
Free e-Books are now available on our website (above left). You must have a valid library card.
Online Testing & Reference Center for job assistance is available to our patrons at:
www.washgintoncountylibraries.org.
Constituent Outreach is offered by State Rep. Pete Daley the 2nd and 4th Mondays from
11 AM to 2 PM at the library for help with such items as rent rebates, car registrations, handicap placards, and birth and death certificates, etc.
OCTOBER IS GOOD NEIGHBOR MONTH! We will be collecting nonperishable food items for the local food pantry: canned fish and meats, peanut butter, cereals, canned soups and pasta,
& canned vegetables.

HOLIDAY BAKING TIPS: Thurs., Nov. 8th @ 6 PM by Kay Gallo of Marianna. Recipes, tips, providing info on holding Cookie Exchanges. Door prize is a Holiday Baking Basket
CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING:
Preschool Story Hour: will be held on Wednesdays @ 11 AM beginning Oct. 10.
Halloween Crafts: Wednesday, Oct. 10th @ 4:15 PM
Halloween Costume Party: Wednesday, Oct. 24 @ 4:15 p.m. Children and their families are welcome to dress up for the event. Wrapped treats and snacks are needed.
LIBRARY CARD RE-REGISTRATION WITH PHOTO I.D. is going on now. ALL patrons of all ages wishing to borrow items or use our computers must have a Photo I.D. on file with us. Children must have the I.D. number of a parent or guardian.
PRICE CHANGES: Copies & printouts are now 25 cents each. Homework and resume copies are still free. Faxes are $1 per page including the cover.
