A Membership Drive for The Friends of Marianna Library is ongoing. The organization supports the library's mission by volunteering at various functions and by hosting fund-raising events. Friends members also have the opportunity to connect with other library users and provide input on services and materials. Dues are $5 year.
Remember, it's FREE to get a library card (even if you lost your old one) and all our services and children's programs are FREE to registered patrons. You can't get a better deal than that! A Look Back: Having fun at Easter @ the Marianna Library!
Busy Hands Crafting Society meets Tuesdays @ 6 p.m. Ms. Maggie is teaching knitting to adults and young people in junior high and high school.
Preschool Story Hour and Thursday Night Live conclude May 3. Watch for upcoming summer event details.
Book Donations are now being accepted through June 8. Bring in your clean, gently used books for our Book Sale.
Spring Book Sale is Saturday, June 9 from 10-4 p.m. Used books and various educational items will be on sale at the library for $4 per bag. Bring your own bag and fill it as much as you like.
2nd Annual Bug Show will be held at noon, June 9 with prizes to be awarded. Children 12 and under are invited to bring a live insect in a container and to present information on the insect. No spiders or bees.
Sarris Candy Bars are on sale at the circulation desk for $1. Benefits the Friends of the Library.
Coke Caps Collection. The library is collecting bottle caps and package codes from Coca-Cola products in order to earn rewards for free magazine subscriptions. Caps may be dropped off during normal business hours.
Free e-Books are now available on our website (above left). You must have a valid library card.
Online Testing & Reference Center for job assistance is available to our patrons at: www.washgintoncountylibraries.org.
Constituent Outreach is offered by State Rep. Pete Daley the 2nd and 4th Mondays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the library for help with such items as rent rebates, car registrations, handicap placards, and birth and death certificates, etc.
LIBRARY CARD RE-REGISTRATION WITH PHOTO I.D. is going on now. ALL patrons of all ages wishing to borrow items or use our computers must have a Photo I.D. on file with us. Children must have the I.D. number of a parent or guardian.
PRICE CHANGES Copies & printouts are now 25 cents each. Homework and resume copies are still free. Faxes are $1 per page including the cover.
